every doctor, nutritionist, fitness trainer, and stranger told me that I HAD to be on a diet to manage PCOS and lose weight.

Well, I was fed up with this generic and unsustainable advice. I was determined to find a better way to manage my PCOS.

It took me 5 years to figure out, but I’ve been living completely symptom-free now for 2 years all while still eating carbs, gluten, dairy, sugar and enjoying ALL my favorite foods, that too, guilt-free.

I was diagnosed at 15, given hormonal birth control, and told to lose weight through dieting and exercise. Beyond that, I had no guidance or information on how to improve this condition. I had gained an excessive amount of weight in a very short time, had almost non-existent periods, my hair was falling out, my face was full of cystic acne, I had severe facial hair growth, struggled with extreme food cravings, and had almost no energy to get through my day. I was unsatisfied with the doctor’s recommendations and, like you are doing now, turned to the internet - which, unfortunately, wasn’t much help in 2007 on the topic of PCOS.

Today, though there is an overwhelming amount of information online about PCOS and it is confusing, unsustainable, and CONFLICTING…

It drives you so crazy trying to figure out what to do! So much so that you never even start. You’ve already tried ALL the diets with little success and a lot of unsustainability. You’ve lost weight but gained it back and then some. Your hair is still falling out. Your cycle is still irregular and you’re not sure if you’re even ovulating.Your mood is all over the place and you find you are short-tempered and irritable. You are so fatigued that the thought of exercising makes you want to curl up under a blanket and never leave your couch. Most of all, you’ve come to the realisation that all the dieting and restriction you’ve done in the past has made things worse…not only because it’s damaged your relationship with food and your body, but also because your PCOS symptoms are back (if, they ever left) with a vengeance!

and hopped on the keto train. I cut out ALL carbs & sugar from my diet and lost a lot of weight very quickly. I was happy to be in a smaller body…but my symptoms were far from gone - in fact, many of them got worse! I started noticing even MORE of my hair was falling out, my cycle was still very irregular, I was much more irritable, always cold, had no energy, relied heavily on caffeine, and my relationship with food and my body was at an all-time low. I was completely at a loss for what to do! I knew I couldn’t keep living like this and had to make a change. This was when I learned about the wonderful world of our metabolism.

After reading several books and scientific articles, listening to podcast episodes, and following experts in the field I came to the conclusion that THIS was how I would HEAL my PCOS for good without diets and restrictions. I began to develop and adopt habits that worked to heal my metabolism and noticed a change in my PCOS almost immediately! My mood began to stabilize, I had so much more energy, my sleep was deeper and more restful, and my digestion was the best it had ever been! Over the next few months, my hair started to grow back thick and full, my cycle began to regularize with close to painless periods, and my skin began to clear up giving way to a youthful and healthy glow.

The best part was that I did NOT have to cut out any foods from my diet or restrict in any way AND I was able to maintain a healthy weight. I was also no-longer self-conscious at social and family gatherings about the things I “could” and “could not” eat - it was so freeing! These results were all thanks to the simple habits I started incorporating into my daily life. I knew that I HAD to share this newfound knowledge to help other women who were feeling the way I used to and I began to teach these habits to my clients…
